I am always interested in how Facebook developed the profile's thumbnail feature, and it was only until last Friday, we took a look at its HTML code in office.

Paulie hit the nail when he mentioned that they are saving the X and Y positions of the final state of the thumbnail, in order for the page to "recognize the saved thumbnail" in the future. To be exact, they are the left and top positions respectively.

Anime Figurines / Alter's Yagami Hayate 
Hello! First post in the New Year of 2009. Hopefully this will be a better year ahead for everyone, despite the ongoing economic crisis and global warming issue. Nevertheless, the love for figurines never dies! I shall dedicate this first post to a newly acquired figurine (before Christmas), Yagami Hayate, from Magical Lyrical Nanoha A's.


On the left is Hayate's box. On the right is Fate's box

Incredible boxes aren't they. Hayate's is a lot more bigger than Fate's and they really occupy a certain amount of space in my room. Sigh!

Anime Nendoroid / Nendoroid Shana (Dengeki Daioh Edition) 
Alright! Here's another nendoroid collected last weekend. It's the limited edition of Shana, by Dengeki Daioh. Compared to the normal version, I think I prefer this; not because of the neko mimi though. I like her smile with the melon bun.

Slice of Life / Back from Second Reservist 
I returned from my second ICT on Saturday morning. I got sick immediately. It started off with a running nose and a slight fever at night. I must have caught a flu. Hence I didn't really have the chance to blog properly. As for the ICT, I think it's pretty enjoyable. To be able to see old friends and rekindled those bonds and feelings again. Though it lasted two weeks, we had a day off on a Sunday and I thought it's really nice to have it. But the three days two nights BME, or "battalion mission exercise", was really damn sian. Haha. But I think my platoon really enjoyed being enemies at FIBUA village (urban) for the rifle companies on the first night. Their first time in an urban area I believed. Before that, we spent hours near the Tuas second link, to help to offload some assault boats for the rifle coy. The sea breeze was really nice. On the second night, our mortar deployment ground was on a gentle slope, which was very cosy and windy, yet freezing cold in the early dawn. There wasn't much mosquitoes this time round, though we came prepared.

Slice of Life / Reservist Time 
It's the event of the year again. 11 days long in camp training at Jurong Camp. Back to Army! This is a high-key one, thus 2 weeks. The first was low-key, lasted 5 days. Anyway, shall keep it short. This coming Sunday should be able to book out for a day's off if nothing goes wrong. Won't be touching a computer for at least six days! Haha!

Anime Figurines / Alter's Suzumiya Haruhi 
Well, neither do I buy bunny nor swim suit girls, this is not an exception either. My second 1/8 scale Suzumiya Haruhi, school uniform version. On first look, she may not seem as nice as Max Factory's, but gradually, I fell in love with her.

Anime Figurines / Good Smile's Shiki Ryogi 
December, or rather, November's releases are finally here. Good Smile's Shiki, ALTER's Haruhi and Hayate. I thought I would be bringing 3 of them home yesterday. Hayate's box was pretty big. Sharon told me that her first batch of Hayate was all collected, I have to wait for the second. It will be two weeks from now. Haha how lucky. Else I will be hauling these 3 home. And fortunate enough, I will be going for reservist for two weeks too. So it's timely!

Shiki caught my attention the moment I saw her. Mainly because of her kimono, or yukata. It is so nicely done. My first figure in a traditional Japanese clothing.

Anime Nendoroid / Nendoroid Hiiragi Kagami 
This pair is my most expensive nendoroids so far, along with Konata who I will unbox soon. I didn't get them when KKnM was releasing them for pre-order last year. I thought I wouldn't get them. As I have mentioned from an earlier post, I got them at a much higher price from eBay recently. Well. These little girl, with Konata, have three different versions. Chara-ani, Lucky Channel and Comptiq. I have unbox both the Chara and Lucky Channel version. I do not own a Comptiq version (yet) as it is relatively super expensive.

Anime Nendoroid / Nendoroid Ryoko Asakura and Expansion Parts 
This is the last set which I opened last night. Also, I think this is a must get if you are a nendoroid + Haruhi collector. It came with extra items for Nendoroid Haruhi, Yuki and Mikuru. That's why it's also named as the Expansion Parts Set. It's uniform is meant for Mikuru as well.
